Western Solar’s installation of 33 solar panels and integration with the electrical system in my home could not have been better. The L & I inspector looked at the panels and said, “Wow. Those look perfect. I cannot even see the cables. You would be surprised how much shoddy work I see. This looks excellent.” The crew that did the installation was neat and tidy, friendly, and tolerant of my Labrador retriever who insisted on being involved with every step of the installation. Very safety-oriented, these guys clearly were familiar with proper belays and anchors for high-exposure work. They also matched the paint on my house so that the conduit and outdoor boxes blend in with the siding perfectly. We had such a great experience with Western Solar. From the moment we first spoke with them, their only goal was to help us understand our options and give us all the information we needed. We had just bought our new home and were in the middle of moving in when we realized there was no power. There had been a storm the night before, so we didn’t think much of it and just kept unloading boxes — what else could we do? But then it happened again a few days later, and this time the power stayed out for an entire week. I was showering at work, we were eating out every night, and bundling up just to get through the nights. I finally told my husband, “We can’t live like this. We need a generator — I’m not spending winter in this house with no heat and no power.” We started doing some research

Western Solar has been great to work with from start to finish, from design, quotes, panel and electrical installation. All of their employees, both in the office and in the field are very nice, informative and well versed in their field. I received all of the necessary forms that needed to be signed very promptly. They kept me informed of progress with all the details which I really appreciated. We had a little hiccup with the monitoring app but they had a technician here the next work day and it has worked flawlessly since then. I very highly recommend Western Solar!!!

Western Solar installed solar panels on our house in October, 2025, and one of the reasons we chose them is that they had the best solar panels in addition to being competitively priced. They are also a local business, easy to contact and committed to long term customer service. They were wonderful to work with, very flexible with scheduling, attentive to detail, and professional. They provided wrap around service, completing the design application, the agreement with Puget Sound Energy, organizing the inspection by the City of Bellingham, and all the steps through completion of the project. The installation was quick and efficient, and the crew were a delight to work with. We highly recommend Western Solar for anyone contemplating installing rooftop solar.
