Western Trades Construction Inc

Initially we were very happy with our home. The home was built as a spec home, we found it nearly completely built. Its a beautiful home that we moved into July 2023. Now, just over two years in we have had 2 separate plumbing issues. The first I took an insurance claim out on, and no sooner did I start the the mitigation process than the other leak occurred that has required further demo and mitigation. I have tried getting some assistance with fixing the drywall or having them use their builders insurance to help resolve this issue, but I am getting nowhere. I realize this is outside of the builders warranty time frame, but I should not be having plumbing issues 2 years into living in a newly built home.

I hired Western Trades to manage the construction of our custom home. They were poor communicators who didn’t admit to or correct their mistakes. They even passed the cost of the mistakes onto me. Their supplier put a lien on my property even though I had paid Western Trades for the supplies months earlier. WT wasn’t paying their supplier. 14 months into what was supposed to be a 12 month build, they walked away from the project leaving me with a half built, poorly constructed house. I then heard from many of their subs that they hadn’t been paid in full. Absolute nightmare!
