About a year ago, another HVAC company (that the previous homeowners had a service contract with) sent out a friendly, apparently knowlegeable tech who determined that we should replace one of our A/C units, and perhaps both, as the price was better for both. I signed up for the twice a year maintenance plan and this was my first service. The tech checked everything and cleaned out the drain pan and fixed the main air duct that was separating from the ceiling (due to sloppy install by the builder). It’s a great deal and I now have peace of mind that the unit has been thoroughly checked by a professional.
