I found Taylor on YouTube watching videos on air-cooled Beetle repair and restoration videos. When I realized he was in local in Rhode Island I immediately reached out to inquire about services. When you drive a classic you want a mechanic who is passionate about them and Taylor LOVES old Volkswagens. He has been awesome to work with - knowledgeable, accommodating, and smart. He has helped me put together a road map and budget to keep my car in great shape and upgrade it over time. 10/10 all day, every day.
Taylor was fantastic to work with. My Thing had a series of issues when I brought it in. Overheated on highway, mushy brakes, leaks etc. Taylor created the most professional AND complete attack plan and excited it flawlessly. I’m beyond thrilled with the results. No leaks, no overheating AND she stops! Highly recommend Taylor and Wicked Werks. Bonus he did not charge me for his cool WW stickie. :-)
Taylor is THE Aircooled VW guy. He knows these vehicles down to the lowest bolt and will make sure your vintage VW runs at its best. He's not here to sell you things your car doesn't need, but will make sure your ride is reliable and ready for the road ahead. Be that a cross country adventure in your bay window or a trip to The Cape in your early ragtop. Wicked Werks can handle major resto or minor mechanical tune-ups and everything in-between. Give him a call and you'll understand that early VWs are his thing and he's worth the wait to get into his shop.
Amazing service, knowledge and willingness to help out a fellow vw brother! I had a faulty carb and needed one urgently. Taylor invited me to his shop bright and early and fixed me up with a few options to get my bus going before an event we were committed too. Simply put, if it wasn’t for Taylor’s willingness to help, we would’ve been toast. Thank you thank you ! I know where I’ll be taking my bus and bug for future work. Just awesome
We got new tires put on our 1970 VW beetle recently. Taylor got us right in and out all tires and the spare! Best service around period.
