Dave and his team did an outstanding job building a great looking, well-built deck. They took down the old deck and handled the disposal of the old materials. The whole process took less than two weeks and we were able to enjoy the deck before winter came. Dave made the design process easy and clear by showing us options that fit our house. The materials he selected were from local sources which gave us the opportunity to visit the railing company to see all the options up close. The overall construction is very solid which was the main quality we were looking for.

From start to finish, they exceeded our expectations—not only in the planning and design process, but also in keeping everything well within our budget. The level of detail and meticulous planning at every step was truly impressive. We never once felt things were off schedule or overlooked, and the communication throughout the project was excellent. I met Jess when Xpand put a deck on our new home when we bought it 17 years ago. We were so impressed with their work and professionalism that we referred several friends and neighbors to them and there are many Xpand decks in our neighborhood! A few years after our deck installation, we had them put in a dry bar with custom cabinets that has become a centerpiece of our kitchen/eat in area. Recently, the fascia board on one of the exterior portions of our deck had started to work its way loose from the rest of the deck. Jess and his team did a wonderful job on our TRICKY addition to a very old home. Between tricky access on a small lot in Minneapolis, unexpected foundation problems with our existing home, and even surprise shallow bedrock, Jess truly felt like a trustworthy partner on our project - rather than a contractor. Our project more than doubled the size of our 1893 home, with a two story + basement addition.
