York City Parking Garage

We go to the Appell Center 2-3 times a year and park in this garage because they always have available parking and it's a short walk to the theater. They just instituted a $2 fee for evening parking, which is fine (used to be free after 5pm). But on this trip the elevators didn't work, the walk-up pay kiosk didn't work, and the kiosk at the gate wouldn't take bills (only credit cards or coins). This made getting out of the garage a lengthy chore, because no one could pre-pay their fee and everyone had to process a credit card at the gate. York needs to fix this or people like me will stop visiting and spending money there!

Parking garage is free after business hours and on weekends. Garage is in the heart of downtown York with short walking distance to most attractions. Good lighting, wheel chair accessible. EV charging.

One block away from where I need to go, very convenient

Free (off hours) Downtown Parking, walking distance to bars, restaurants, parade. Recommend to all visitors, vagrants, and revelers.

Pay for an assigned spot, when someone is in my spot (often) am told to leave a note on the car. Staff seems to mostly uneducated inner city people. DO NOT PARK HERE
