I do monthly parking here like plenty of other people who work or live nearby and it’s fine. Pay by card for the hourly/day rate or whoever manages your monthly subscription (work or apartment). No one on site, but it’s maintained by VCU now. There are some cameras and VCU Police will drive through with plate scanners regularly. VCU could have done a better job when they first took over and began power washing the whole thing (including peoples’ cars) without notice, but they’ve been more communicative since then during the rest of the refurbishment of the garage.

I recommend using a different parking company. They will switch you from manual to automatic payments without your explicit consent, and they bury their 30 day cancellation policy in an email. They are a nightmare to work with, and the entry/exit gate is often broken.

City Parking that does its job. Good snow removal at the entrance and exits. They keep up with pothole management. They do their best to power wash surfaces and the stairs are kept clean. I've never used the elevator so I can't say weather or not it works. During rush hour, this garage becomes a mad dash for the door, including people attempting to drive the wrong way. Sometimes the alleyway in the back becomes clogged with cars.

This is no longer public parking and there are no signs saying so! Apparently VCU bought it and we all know they got money for signage how about we put some up!

Online( Parkopedia)the price for early bird is $7.00. They charged me $11.75. The company that I paid for this parking is Parkwhiz but on their site you can find this parking lot( is not under this company). When I contacted them I receive an answer from Parkopedia( exactly where I found the prices online)They said that they are sorry but the prices increased. That's it.?.? I will never use them again.
