161st Garage

Great parking, just a four minute easy walk to Yankee Stadium. $50 to park is expensive, but you just can’t beat the location. I went on the second day of the season. 161st Garage was easy to get in and out of, with literally no stress, and we were parked within one level from the entrance. Highly recommended.

DO NOT use this garage!! After an event, we went to eat and when we returned, our car was locked in the garage! The ticket we bought said leave before 12:59 on thr 28th, the following morning. We were back well before that on the night of the 27th. We’ve incurred $100’s of dollars in uber fees, hotel fees and stress from me, my wife and kids. Now, it’s the next day and they refuse to unlock the garage because the supervisor with the key “lives far away” I can’t imagine putting a family through this, especially when you’re in the wrong, but they have repeatedly told me that they just don’t care and refuse to get the supervisor with the key involved.

Simply put...I think it's the best place to park if you are going to the stadium. It's safe for you and your car. It's clean, it's close to stadium, and getting in and out is relatively easy. A little more expensive than other parking, but not too much, especially considering all I just mentioned.

My whole family went to a nyu graduation ceremony at Yankee stadium . Paid 50$ to park for the event . The ticket says pickup car by midnight , so we went to eat lunch after the event that started at 11 am . When we got back to the car at Rupperts parking garage 161 st street the whole garage was locked down . Me and a few other people was left stranded with our car hostage overnight ! Forced to get another hotel because at 4:30 they refused to send someone to open the door ??? Told us to come back at 8 am in the morning the next day ??? Here we are now the next day at 8:30 and the place is still not open ??? There is no number to call only email , a lot of signs none of them accurate , they even had someone at the door to scan our receipt but never told us they was closing immediately aft

The parking was super easy. Got there plenty early. 2:15pm for a 7pm game. Yeah we parked all the way on top but it was worth it for the view. Traffic on the way out was a little crazy but not too bad. Easy to get on the main highway.
