1801 L Street Garage

The sign at the entrance to the garage says Public Parking. Yet we got fined for parking w/out permission on private property. We are from the Bay Area and unfamiliar with Sacramento parking rules and regulations. But if the sign says Public Parking then I don’t understand why we got a violation notice for over $70 for parking on a private parking??

We had a bad experience at this parking garage. We first tried getting street parking and could not. Downtown is always difficult. We found this lot and thought better for us, since one of us is handicapped. The handicapped parking was full. So, we parked close to the elevator. Had to walk to pay automated booth (no person). We walked back to elevator. We waited and waited for the elevator. It did not work. We had no cell service down below. I took the stairs up leaving handicap person below. Pushed the buttons on the elevator in the lobby. Still nothing. I walked out to investigate area and where resturant was that we were to meet friends. Then, the double doors to the building locked so I could not go back to my mate. Kind of panicked. Taking a lot of time. Thought about going do

Conveniently located by the Twitter building this garage was a lifesaver for parking, it had poor signage that could be replaced for a better ascetic and readability. The staff was great and we had a hasstle free time leaving and picking up our vehicle here. It also felt safe enough for anyone concerned about that.

Had a parking garage pass for years here. Wasn't aware that the credit card on file didn't process correctly and then received a citation. Then they back dated and charged me for the month I was received a citation for after the fact and said I had to pay the month as well as the citation. If a small business owner tried this... you think it would pass? hah.
