1818 Builders

My husband and I have had a wonderful experience working with 1818 Builders. We moved back to New Jersey from Texas and had a full kitchen and bathroom renovation as well as electric and plumbing work including building an outside pool bathroom. They were fair with their pricing, clean, respectful of our home and very easy to work with. Of course there were some hiccups along the way, but they always found a workable solution that didn't break the bank. We would highly recommend them for any of your renovation or construction needs.

Great company. We had a relatively small but somewhat involved project we needed completed. It was an insurance claim and 1818 Builders was recommended to us by our agent. I contacted them and they immediately set up a meeting. Once approval was received by our insurance company, 1818 provided a detailed estimate of the work to be performed and remained within that estimate, communicating any discrepancies beforehand. I have over a decade of construction experience myself and have seen some shady tactics from contractors before. This was never a concern with 1818. They worked diligently on our project and the end result came out great. Better than when it was new. They cleaned up everything and even put our furniture back afterward. 1818 Builders put on a lovely new standing-seam metal replacement roof on the front porch addition to our historic 18th century home in coastal New Jersey, which has upgraded the house beautifully with its handsome and complementary gray beige color. They provided color choices from a quality roofing company in Ohio; it was so easy to get started! Demo of the old roof, etc. with the crew of 4 was done in one day. Day 2 began thorough preparation to receive the new sheathing. This included working with the old timber frame construction which is too often neither straight nor level! We recently had 1818 Builders completely remodel our master bathroom and we couldn't be more impressed with the results. The consultation process was thorough, and they listened closely to our ideas, offering many suggestions and together we came up with a great plan. The project was completed on time and did not go over the quote given, which was a huge relief. What really stood out was their commitment to communication. They always let us know their schedule and gave us updates. We love our new bathroom! It truly feels like a spa retreat. We had a flood in our condo on the first floor over the winter. Tim was recommended to us and he was very prompt and professional when we had our first meeting. Tim was excellent in staying within our timeline to be back in our condo before Memorial Day. He cleaned up and left the work area inside very tidy and put the furniture back in its original place. The drywall, moulding and painting was excellent. I will definitely hire him again for other jobs. I would definitely recommend his services. Also, his wife Suzy is working on a cabinetry design for us in our TV room for the fall.
