At first, everything with our new gutters seemed fine. The installation was completed and paid for, and on the surface, it looked like a good job. However, after several months of observing how the gutters performed during rain, I noticed some serious issues. The main problem was that the downspout was placed in the wrong spot. It didn’t solve the issue we originally had — water pooling in front of the front door. In fact, the setup wasn’t helping at all. We eventually had to reroute the spout ourselves so that the water would drain onto higher ground instead. Another issue was that a downspout from the upper roof wasn’t connected to the lower gutter.
