31st Street Public Parking Garage

We honestly haven’t had any trouble parking however I will mention I think EVERYONE pees in the garage because the smell is overwhelming lol. I make it a point to park on the tip top by the elevator closest to Starbucks because of the smell (and I have three small kids and no one is usually up on the top floor) BUT this new dude that’s working (as of yesterday to my knowledge) is a SUPER JERK! He has a nasty attitude and is just all around rude! I was in complete shock with how he treated my family both coming in and out, and we’re locals who park here several times a week. We only asked him what we needed to do because being a local we get a flat rate for parking and he acted like I did the worst thing in the world to him. Nice bright garage. Very close to the king Neptune statue and local venues. Not affiliated with virgina Beach parking. Connected to hotel lot so only parking on upper floors. Great place to catch the view at sunset.

My dad had to be rushed to the ER from the beach and I went to grab our car from this parking garage in an emergency situation. We had been parking there maybe for an hour ($2.00). I told the attendant what happened and that I didn't have my parking ticket because my dad was concussed and couldn't remember where it was, and he did not care and made me pay the $28 fee for if you lose your ticket. 14x the amount we should have owed. Made me take longer to get to the ER and made me waste money. Long story short, never lose your ticket here. Also, as others have mentioned, there is a weird musty smell ??

It’s a 1 star on the attendants for me. Dealing with car issue they were focused on collecting payment (which was going to be paid irregardless) and moving the vehicle being towed so they can lower the bar in a 2 exit driveway. Get better attitudes

Clean garage, fairly well-lit garage with decent-sized spaces Close to a lot of great attractions and restaurants, and you can usually find parking - especially if you park early. Prices are a little steep, especially for special events. Also, the elevator was broken when I was there and it looked like it had been broken for a while because there was a huge professionally- printed 2'z3' sign telling customers it was out of order. Not a great planning to leave an elevator unserviced for Neptune Festival Weekend, with all the race participants, sans sculpting contest attendees and people strolling the pop-up markets. Shame, VB!
