5th Ave Carpet Cleaning

I had a bad experience with these guys and would not recommend. My rug was cleaned fine but the customer service was really bad and there's so many other places that could do the same work and NOT make you feel sketched out. I was quoted $140 to have my rug picked up and cleaned. The technician came and recommended a $450 deep clean which I declined. He said if I wanted it to be $140 he would bring the steamer up into my apartment and clean it on the spot - I had to work so I couldn't do that. He told me there would be a cancellation fee if I didn't have him clean or take my rug. I felt very pressured (and also was not told about a cancellation fee on the phone) so paid $250 for a steam and shampoo offsite, which was the cheapest option I was given. I kind of feel like I should start off by saying that a lot of this may have been my fault but I thought I should come share my experience anyway. I was given an old 8x10 office rug for free. It was very faded and looked kind of dirty so I called 5th Ave Carpet Cleaning to get an estimate on how much it would cost to have it cleaned. They quoted me $160 but said they'd have to see it in person. Pick-up and delivery is free so they came to my door to pick it up where they looked at it. Once they were at my door they said it was extremely dirty and would need a deep shampoo and they then bumped up their price while at my house to $480 (!!). The technician did an excellent job steam cleaning the carpets in our three bedrooms and on the stairs. He was thorough and professional, and the pricing was very fair. I’d gladly hire them again.

5th Ave Carpet Cleaning was incredibly responsive and did an excellent job. They even came the very next day to clean three rugs and three carpets. I’ll definitely use them again!
