I visited AP recently to have a custom steel part fabricated for my motorcycle. They came highly recommended from a friend who works at a machine shop. The part I needed was a simple flat piece of mild steel with two bends, 6 holes and some deburring. I included a detailed 2-dimensional drawing and spoke with one of the technicians for about 20 minutes to confirm the details and make notes. He estimated this to be about 1-hour of work or less and that it would cost about $55-60. I informed the technician that I needed the part in less than a week, because I had to install it prior to a trip I was taking. He assured me it would only take a day or two.
