We needed to replace an old deck. Our deck was large and we wanted to make the deck half the size and add a patio as well. We had several contractors come and talk about what we wanted and give us bids. Acumen promptly responded with a personal visit and multiple solutions to our situation. Peter Schneider, the salesman, answered every question we had. He told us about the quality of their work, timing of the job, materials to be used and this was spot on. Would like to start with how happy we are with the work that Acumen Renovations did with our deck and patio. From the beginning with Peter coming out to talk options with us, to the quick removal of the old deck, to the building of our vision for our deck it was a great experience. There was no pressure put on and it was just a great experience from start to finish. We had an unexpected delay during the process with irrigation lines needing to be moved with delayed the whole project but the team was respectful and patient as I tried to get the situation resolved. When our deck needed replacement we decided to upgrade our outdoor space with the addition of a covered deck. We had 4 contractors bid the project. We selected Acumen Renovations for their integrity, quality of craftsmanship and their professionalism demonstrated to us during the bidding process. Pete Schneider, our first point of contact with Acumen, would not continue the bidding process until we had engineered drawings to ensure the new project was structurally safe and would pass the city’s inspection process. Pete was our point of contact during the construction. He was responsive to our phone calls and/or texts. I contacted Acumen at a very busy time in season. Acumen was willing to commit to a very tight timeline and helped to design a full deck replacement that we loved. They implemented features that I really enjoy like a handrail and a gate for my dogs, the wood used was beautiful (cedar) and the construction is tight and sound and will have great longevity. Acumen also took a professional approach and were prompt and on-time which is really important for my work schedule. Many other vendors wanted to push the project out late in year and circumvent any inspections. My last note is that the workers were really enjoying their work the entire time, you could hear them having fun with it which I think is an important indicator of good company culture. A great group to do business with.

Outstanding company I would give a 10 star review if I could. The workers were professional, courteous, friendly, timely and cleaned up the job site.
