In 2023 we hired Barry Anderson to renovate our kitchen and bathroom. We agreed on the scope, price and timeline. Unfortunately we were very disappointed with AC Woodworks. He continued to delay his works, didn’t communicate, he promised to finish the work in a few weeks but this became a 6 month drama. The crew were an inconsistent bunch and unprofessional. He never finished his work and we were left having to finish the work ourselves. My review is posted after I moved out of state because I was seriously afraid for repercussions of mr. Anderson.

We hired Barry and his company to work on our Fort Myers Beach house after hurricane Ian. Being from Minnesota we had to rely on our contractor to communicate and keep us up to date on the progress. We were consistently lied to and work was not completed. After 10 months of no progress we were forced to hire an attorney to get out of this nightmare. We have now hired another contractor and have been forced to redo the work Barry and his company completed due to the poor workmanship. If you are considering this company, I would absolutely run the other direction. In hindsight, we should have never hired a cabinet maker as a general contractor. One star is generous. Think twice before hiring AC Woodcraft/ACW. We used them before Ian and thought their workmanship was adequate, but not great. There were problems keeping employees, carpentry mistakes, numerous cost increases, constant delays and assurances that never happened. Since Ian it’s all about selling, not delivering. Stupidly in November of 2022 we ordered impact windows and paid AC Woodcraft (Barry) in advance. At that time good impact windows were in high demand and quite expensive, around $1,500 per window. We were promised these windows would be installed by January or February 2023 at the latest. After many calls and pressure from us, part of the order was delivered in May but not installed. Barry is a carpenter, a cabinet maker. A skilled trade that has taken decades to bring to perfection. I dont recall even seeing a computer in his office.. And, in a time when entitled kids don't want to work and those that do show-up, don't take pride in a 'job well done'... I'm really just appalled that a couple unskilled kids with social media savvy friends can jump on a 1-star band wagon... over what...a couple hundred dollars that wasn't earned, but has cost this tradesman thousands in business. 2-sides to every story... Barry's reputation sits with quality, custom built cabinets which is why he is still in business... despite the mis-use of goggles rating platform.

Had some cabinets installed in my garage by barry at ac woodcraft. Came out way better then expected and priced very well. Got real wood custom cabinets installed for cheaper than any of the box stores. Highly recommend him.
