Adams & Swett Rug Cleaning Co

Except customer service and reliable pickup and drop off. I have been using Adams and Swett for probably 40 years. I Started when they were in Boston and now they pick up and deliver from their facility. This is the only way I feel that my rugs get really clean! They do a great job!

I have used Adams & Swett for years to get my oriental carpets cleaned. My parents used them for decades before I did! They know rugs. The service is always consistent and dependable. The new location in Quincy is not as convenient for me as the past location on Mass Ave. But it is much safer. There's a discount if you drop off and pick up yourself, but no need to. They will gladly do that for you! *I am updating my review after trying their new location a second time. I don't know how they cleaned my rugs, or if they shared a wash with some industrial rugs, or something like that, but many months later when I unwrapped them for winter installation they were dirtier than when I dropped them off in the spring. They appeared to have been processed, but my vacuum brought out a ton of gray dus

I had a terrible experience with Adams and Swett, and was reminded of it this morning, when I received a reminder from them to clean my rugs. They ruined my beautiful over-dyed teal rug, from Bloomingdales. It came back faded, discolored, and streaked with yellow. They would take no responsibility for it, except for offering me a $100 refund (I spent $7,000 on sale for the rug), which I was too stunned to even accept. I wasn’t permitted to speak to anyone other than the receptionist, and they refused to come and look at the damage they did. It has been 2 years since, but the rug that brought me such joy, just aggravates me now. I do not recommend that you trust your good quality rugs to them.

I had an accidental spill shortly before my Open House, and the people at Adams and Swett were so helpful! They picked up the rug, did a rush cleaning job, and had it back in place literally hours before the doors were opened. Drivers showed up when they promised. Thanks Diane for making it happen, Edie
