We’re so glad we brought our daughter to AFFA to continue her fencing training. The club has the best and high caliber coaches and provides world-class training to their students. They hold their students to a high standard, but more importantly they provide a great, welcoming and supportive atmosphere to everyone at the club. Our daughter has forged a strong bond and meaningful friendships with AFFA athletes and coaches. Personally, I also really appreciate how organized and well-structured the club is, and how professional the coaches and club are. They are transparent, responsive, and committed! AFFA is an inclusive and encouraging community, where coaches and staff engage with every single fencer. My daughter joined a year ago as a beginner. She had so much fun and fell in love with the sport immediately. As she progressed, the coaches invested in her growth. When she makes mistakes at competitions, the coaches and her club mates are by her side and cheering her on; when she got injured and couldn't compete or train, the coaches came up with an innovative solution for her to stay active and sharp. On and off strip, she is supported by everyone at AFFA to constantly reflect and improve. As a parent, I cannot be happier for my child to be a member of this club.

Joined AFFA in Oct 2022 after being with another club for 6 years. Coaches and students were equally inviting. Entire staff is encouraging and approachable. I appreciate that the club takes a wholistic approach and all instructors are knowledgeable about each student’s level. Group lessons are organized and effective. Mike, who assists with all administrative concerns, is helpful and patient, especially when you’re a new family! My daughter is a competitive fencer and benefits from both the numerous number of nationally ranked fencers, as well as the collegiate fencers that visit during breaks and camps.
