Afford A Move

So I had this enormous fireplace insert in a uhaul for 3 days( another story), and it weighed more than expected and was extremely awkward as well. Not knowing what to do I thought about Doug Maroney from Afford A Move in Salisbury. I called and Bobby answered. He was polite and professional and felt it was a job that they could do, no problem. We started our conversation around 1'oclock and by 4:30 it was moved. What happened in between was unbelievable. Bobby and Luis showed up, reviewed the job and began the work. Safety first was step one. Then the actual move of a 500 pound fireplace which was engineered perfectly. I can't say enough of what a great experience with this company. Thanks again guys!

Our move was a fiasco. Damage to so many things from piano, to grandfather clock, to leather sofa, an eliptical machine base they cracked. They attempted to fold a queen mattress in half, it was not a memory foam mattress. I contacted Doug the owner promised to come out and assess damages, I am still waiting-he will not return calls and has not come out to view damage. They walked through a screen door and ripped it. Tried to say certain damage to a file cabinet was there already when one of the workers said it aboslutely was not there. Scratches to Gym equipment in new condition. Banged walls and scratched floors....missing pieces from exercise equipment and other damages not shown here. If you decide to use them,get proof of insurance PRIOR to doing business with them I have yet to se

I can not say enough great things about the two men that came and helped me move. It was rainy foggy and icy day and these men wrapped and covered my stuff to keep everything dry and safe. All my belongings were moved without any issues or damage. The move was difficult I lived on the eight floor with busy elevators and Kennedy and Bob moved everything with what seemed like ease and always smiling and never upset. They were so easy to get along with and kind and respectful to me and my belongings. They made a difficult move easier. I’ll forever be grateful to these men and Doug. I highly recommend this moving company.

More than a decade ago I contracted with Afford-A-Move to move an oversized item into my basement. Having had a very positive experience, I contacted them again for a quote when I was ready to move my entire household from our home in Massachusetts to New Hampshire. The entire process was seamless. Whereas other movers had refused to move certain very heavy/large items, advising to hire specialty movers, Bob and his team worked relentlessly to make sure that every single item was loaded and secured.
