Affordable Air Service, Inc.

We had Affordable Air install a new ac unit for us this past week. They loaned portable units to get us thru the weekend and they put us on their work schedule very quickly for the new unit installation. The company reps Scott and Trent who did our work were awesome! Their answering service and/ or front desk person is also great. I’ll call them anytime if needed in the future.

When I first called them, they simply told me it would cost $175 for the technician to work for an hour. He worked for 25 minutes and fixed the problem by cleaning the AC drain, but I was charged $235 and when I called about the bill they said they didn't know who told me the quote but $235 should be the right price because it is the weekend. Then she told me it's $175 just to show up to see what's wrong, not to actually work for an hour. That's why they added additional cost on top of $175. They weren't willing to lower the price to something reasonable or closer to the quote. So they might tell you the wrong quote and say the same thing. No complaints about the technician. Just the company needs to be clear about their price and $235 just to spend 25 minutes to see what's wrong and

Affordable Heating and Air were paid in advance, they didn't show back up for 6 months to fix a problem that they had with a part they " had to get " , when they did finally show back up to get our air unit, brand new working they sent a bill for something that was their problem!

Excellent company and service, i have used affordable air here at the beach for over a decade and they always come through and solve the problem. Great people, great service, fair pricing, ……. My experience recently, a 98 degree day, air not working all night, came next morning after an online request for service, attempted fix which worked for few hours, then system quit again, but like an MVP Chris the tech came back for a second time and solved the problem, air working… mom cool, so life good….. Thank you Chris and Tracie, Jonathan, and team at Affordable Air for good communication, and seeing the problem solved…. Reliable, skilled, friendly and reasonably priced. With six rentals and a 50+year old home, I call them a lot more than I would like to, and they are always wonderful. I have never before written a review, but they deserve the best. I’d give them six stars.
