Agromin Horticultural Products

I was recently charged $151.62 PER TON because supposedly the green waste had termites . Dumping at agromin for years I have seen some really dirty loads from different customers, I myself was sometimes charged a little extra (rightfully so) when the load had little bit of trash or palm leaves, but never this outrageous rate , they simply looked for an excuse to make a quick extra $500. I showed the dump receipt to my customer who was furious and in disbelief. Next time I know that dumping at the landfill as regular trash is cheaper and no surprise surcharges.

I purchased 10 yd^3 of their 50-50 mix, which Agromin described on their website as "a versatile, amended topsoil blend designed for used in all applications in landscaping." Further that it "is great for use when planting vegetables." But nothing would grow--seeds wouldn't come up, seedlings planted in the soil refused to grow and became very sick. Finally, I had the soil analyzed by a commercial lab. Among the results, the sulfur content stood out: 1018 ppm versus a preferred level of about 30 ppm. This made the soil phytotoxic--poisonous to plants. Agromin did refund my money, but refused anything more. So I'm left with a toxic mess of a garden that will cost hundreds of dollars to fix. Dificult to move a rig around on facility. I wish it was a little more truck frendly. There definitly quick on getting product of trucks. Defintly nice.

I believe this company is doing something great for the environment we live on. I learned so much here. I learned how much I really love this earth. I learned how much I want to help care for this earth. I learned so much about the importance of soil in caring for the health of the planet at Agromin. My innate love for science developed here in such an intense way. There was already a seed in my mind for the study and love of science and this place really made that love for science grow.

product is excellent and affordable, but customer service is horrible. The guy picking his nose in the "office" trailer was an inept at explaining what the heck they sale!- so before going there just research ahead of time.
