My garage door opener had been behaving erratically for some time - would not close completely and wouldn’t respond to the remote; very frustrating. Mr Akins knew exactly what to do to align the sensors, secure the tracks and troubleshoot the whole process. He was generous in sharing information I need to keep the system working well. His 40+ years’ experience servicing and installing garage door systems was evident. He was ontime, called ahead to confirm and had everything repaired and resolved in under an hour. Akins Garage Door Service of Hermitage installed a new garage door spring several months ago and today they were called back to adjust the spring. I was informed that they weren't able to make a specific appointment time and would "fit me in between appointments." I waited at home for their arrival. At 11:22 am I received an alert from my security camera. On the video, two men accessed my property via a gate with a posted No Trespassing sign and entered my garage. When I confronted the two men about not informing me of their arrival (they didn't even come to the door!) and entering my property without my knowledge they were dismissive and rude. I can't imagine a better service provider. I busted my door one day and I had a new door installed at a very reasonable price the next morning! They even patched up my old door for free so that the elements would not mess up my garage overnight. Exceeded expectations on every measure!

Thanks to Akins for replacing our garage door opener today. They previously repaired our old one and it lasted an additional 5 years. They have also replaced our garage door.
