Albuquerque Pools

I do not recommend Albuquerque Pools for any service. I recently bought a house with a pool. Upon removing the winter cover I saw that there was a thick layer of sand/dirt on the bottom. I called ABQ pools, they came out, swept the pool and told me to run the filter steady for a few days. While the pool looked slightly better it quickly turned green and I was told it needed shock. After shocking several times it continued to turn green and was never really clean. I struggled through the summer with it and asked them multiple times about the possibility of the filter or pump being inadequate. This year after opening the pool I continued to have the same issues. I called ABQ pools for an estimate on the pump timer which seemed to not be working. They came out and gave me an estimate. I hired Albuquerque pool and spas to do an inspection of a pool before I bought a house. I strongly do NOT recommend using them for this service. They specifically stated the pool pump was "good" and the cartridges were "good". Below are the pictures of the leak from the pipes and the pool pump that had to be immediately and emergency replaced because it leaked into my house upon move in, and the cartridges which clearly had not been cleaned or changed in over a year. They charge a significant amount for this inspection and on top of this I had to spend over 4k repairing damage that I could have pre-emptively had the sellers replace all this equipment. I strongly recommend you seek service elsewhere.

They come on time. Always professional. My system had the best suction after they did the close and open. They don’t clean or balance but I can do that. And the cost has escalated this year. But again….. that seems to be life these days. They have done repairs in the past and I have always been happy with the finished product.

Working with Albuquerque Pool and Spas is a delight. They are friendly, quick and fair. We are very happy with the service and the timely manner in which they respond.

Outstanding support and knowledge. I've had several pools at different homes and consider myself fair knowledgeable on the operation. This recent problem was beyond my abilities. James through attention to detail was able to isolated the problem. A hairline crack on the bottom of the filter manifold. Very hard to see. Great work! Highly recommend!
