Jose, Jesus, and the whole crew are awesome. They put in the foundation, framed, and sided a new addition and did a great job. I have worked with a lot of contractors and Alvarado and Son are amazing. Their price was reasonable, the speed of getting the project done was lightning fast, and the whole crew are really nice people that you just like to have around. I have never had a foundation come out as dimensionally correct as they built it and their framing was outstanding. I literally had the city inspectors giving them compliments ... which just doesn't happen normally. If you have a similar project, look no further!

They converted an old garage into a gorgeous ADU and recently remodeled our kitchen. If you are looking for a general contractor who actually shows up and stays focused on your home, look no further. Jose, his son Jesus, and their crew are true professionals. They managed to turn our full house remodel into a smooth 6-month process. They built an extension, gutted the kitchen and bathrooms, and opened up our living space by removing an old chimney. Because they didn’t juggle multiple big jobs at once, we felt like their top priority every single day. They were also wonderful to work with while we were living on-site; they were flexible, communicative, and fair with their pricing. It’s rare to find this level of dedication in the industry.

We worked with the Alvarado and Son team for two projects now and can’t say enough good things about them. Jose and Jesus were great communicators and gave us a low bid for our earthquake retrofit job installing sheer walls and bolts in our basement and framing and a strong wall to strengthen our soft story. They completed the job quickly, their team was always friendly and great about keeping our garage, driveway, and basement areas clean. They paid attention to detail and did high quality work. We had to jump through a lot of hoops for the EBB grant and Jesus was super helpful every step of the way. We were so impressed we hired them again to work on our fence and gates and to repair the exterior of our garage. Can’t say enough good things about Jose and Jesus and highly recommend.

Alvarado and Son recently completed a remodel on our house, and did a great job! The work included: new foundation and optional seismic upgrades, removal of load-bearing walls and intallation of beams, new electrical, plumbing, floors, dry wall, lighting. Jose, Jesus, and their crew and subcontractors (dry wall, wood floors, tile floors, insulation, heat pump HVAC) all did a great job. They were reliable, responsive, tidy and did great work overall. They handled all permits and inspections, and everything went smoothly. Also, being an old house, there were a lot of surprises along the way, and they handled them calmly and collaboratively while we developed solutions. They went above and beyond what I think is normally expected of contractors to help us get the project completed.
