Zero Star – Unprofessional, Combative, and Outdated Business Practices This was one of the worst customer service interactions I’ve experienced in years. We canceled a contract due to non-performance (the railing was never delivered as promised). The work was then reordered, delivered, and installed by another company without issue — which says everything. Instead of issuing a simple refund to the original payment method (a standard practice in 2025), this company refused, insisted on cutting a paper check, and escalated the situation with a hostile, defensive, and unprofessional email response. We recently moved into a new home and before closing we started working with American Fence to line up the permit and order the material. COVID delayed the materials but once everything was ready AJ came and installed out fence with 2 gates. He was extremely nice, knowledgeable, and the whole thing was installed over 2 days. Not only is our yard much safer, I'm surprised at how nice the fence is given our HOA limitations. He setup the gates to swing closed for extra safety with our toddler, and we're really happy with how he lined up the fence given the slope of our backyard. I would happily work with AJ and American Fence again, and will be recommending them to friends and family in the area.

I unfortunately did not have the opportunity to work with this great company as they were slightly out of my budget. But once the sales rep understood that they wasted no time offering to help me find another licensed and insured contractor in the area that could help with my installation. That is not something you see everyday and I was super appreciative of that gesture. Wish them the best of luck!

After contacting the company and paying for half the fence (the next day because time was important to me), did not hear a word back. I contacted the company a week later and they laughed at me when I told them the time frame provided by the estimator. They DOUBLED the specified time and then fought me when I protested the charge on the credit card. They did NOTHING, the only reason there was an issues is because I contacted them. Past the 3 day cancellation fee and had to pay the 15% cancellation fee. Happy not to have to deal with them. Bait and Switch on installation time find ANYONE else to do the work!

If I could give zero stars I would Never In My life have I had such a terrible experience with a contractor. Aside from the 5 months to complete a 20 foot fence. They broke TWO sprinkler lines , tried to cover it up by pouring concrete into the areas and never told us! When I tried for 3 weeks to get them to address this I was met with rudeness to the highest level imaginable. I give tons of great reviews and promote local business all the time but this is the WORST company with the rudest owner I’ve ever encounter For the near $250.00 it would have taken them to bake things right, I will now gladly take time out of my schedule to file a small claims suit and bbb report I hope I save 1 family from having to go through being treated this poorly
