American Firewood - Capital City Firewood

The gentlemen were kind, gracious, and quite funny old timers. Busy with the work at hand, they gave me a hand by helping load my vehicle with all the wood it could handle. And with all this wood, they gave me a great deal for a very minimal price!

Owner was extremely friendly. 💯% oak hardwood. He and another gentleman helped load it in the back of our SUV. I even showed up on a Saturday with no appointment (my bad) and he hooked me up anyway. Great Service We now have "A wood guy".

John was very accommodating and helpful. Wood was in great condition and burns hot! My go to firewood!

Owner and helper were both friendly and helpful. Good prices, great wood and interesting little pieces sitting on property (like an old Ford truck) amongst the small patch of woods serve as visual interest (as well as good conversation with owner and employee) while they are loading your vehicle up. I’d recommend this place and will go again.

Only sells Oak! Black, Red, White, Pinned... Oak wood keeps a fire at a higher degree for longer. Oak is good for smoking any foods. John the owner is a cool friend to have, very smart, knowledgeable about everything. He's 70, been in the wood business for over 40 yrs, and even survived the fight with Covid, and won. Good business, Good Owner, Good Prices, Good Quality and Quantity.
