American Lock Service

Very poor service by this company. The technician took advantage of my elder father who requested a key to made and change the lock to my house without my legal consent (homeowner) while I was not home and charged my dad $800 for one simple lock! I do not recommend this company at all. They have poor customer service. Disconnect the call multiple times.can’t get a supervisor on the phone to discuss the matter.

Called at 3am in morning told them car was running that I was locked out of car they told me to call back at 8am and promptly hung up on me! Horrible unprofessional ignorant service will never attempt to use them again and most definitely would never recommend them!!!

Where to start? Just acquired an apartment, was given the keys and was told by the property manager that it was okay to make copies. I journeyed to Home Depot, they didn't have the kind of blanks needed and went to several hardware stores and was told the same thing, when I was about to give up I basically stumbled across American Lock Service, very friendly and helpful, had the blanks I needed and made the keys within minutes. They all worked in the locks with no issue. I recommend American Lock Service.

I hired American Lock Service to re-key all the locks on my new home in Jenkintown, PA. The technician that showed up was the company owner. He was on time and was very friendly and professional. He took the time to fix all the lock alignments on each of my doors and lubricated all the locks for me as well. I was very pleased with the overall service and would highly recommend them to anyone.

EDIT: see owner’s response below, months later. I stand by my review. Technician was rude when he found out I had resolved my issue. He became irate, screaming at me, demanding a fee for showing up (which I was happy to pay). However, he refused to tell me his name, was reluctant to tell me the name of his company, and couldn't give me a receipt (after asking for my credit card twice). I had no way of calling him back to cancel as I had been locked out without a phone-- despite me explaining this (as I had told them when I called), he continued to be unprofessional and rude. Would never use again.
