If you value your investment into a pool I would highly recommend staying away from this company. Emily starts out great, on top of emails, designs, tells you 6-9 months starting and then… nothing. I wasn’t going to write a review, I was going to let it go. However, as I sit and look at my $80k+ pool that’s been done maybe two months and has sand missing between pavers and uneven I decided to take the time to warn others. It took 23 months from signing to “finished.” I had to push sand between my pavers my self, my husband had to cut the drain on the exterior, and we have a paver that isn’t even installed correctly. We utilized American Pool Builders for our recent pool and spa construction. The project took look longer than expected which is not unusual in the construction world. However, the end result was a very beautiful back yard retreat. We found owner Jeff to be very attentive throughout the project and he continues to be very helpful.

We have built two swimming pools through American Pool Builders. We absolutely loved both pools and had a great experience!

I do not recommend hiring this company to build a pool. I had a fiberglass pool installed in late 2022. The installation process seemed to go smoothly, but I noticed an issue with the pool right before they were finished. A greenish area at the bottom of the pool appeared, and after contacting San Juan Pools, they confirmed this was an iron stain. I am adamant about balancing the water chemistry, so this was surprising. I applied a stain remover, but there was a weird outline with black spots visible on the stain. At first, Jeff would accept my calls, but he continued to say nothing was wrong with the pool. Later that year, I had a San Juan Pool technician come out to investigate the problem. He confirmed that the pool needed to get buffed out, and most likely caused by an issue with the p

⭐ 1-Star Review I would strongly advise against working with American Pool Builders Inc. in Lakeland. A friend of mine put down $7,500 for a pool two years ago and has received absolutely nothing in return. Communication has been poor, and they have not followed through on their promises. The company currently has an F rating with the Better Business Bureau, which speaks for itself. If you’re considering hiring them, I recommend doing thorough research first. Customers who have had similar experiences should consider coming together for legal action to hold them accountable. If you value honesty, professionalism, and reliability, I suggest looking elsewhere.
