Terrible experience and absolutely horrendous customer service. The lady at the store had a nasty attitude when I tried to exchange two gallons of stain. Small print on the receipt says no returns after 30 days. They mean it—my purchase was 31 days ago. An exchange is different than a return and they wouldn’t budge on “policy”. I had to spend an additional $150. That’s fine, but I certainly didn’t need the attitude that came with it.

Purchased White Oak #1 common and expected slight flaws i.e. knots and holes. The bundles we received had more knots and holes than most #2 I have used. Called to get a response and Tom asked for pictures. Emailed the pictures and tried to call back about 1/2 hr later. Tom was too busy and the person answering the phone said he would call us back within 10 mins. Still waiting for the call Tom! Now that they are closed and we are in the middle of a flooring job with at least 4 out of every 5 pieces having knots and holes. So I guess they will get to leave work on time while we are stuck with rotten product. Moral of the story... Ampro just lost the business of a builder.
