A monster amung the flatness of this mid American expanse fundamentally separating the East and West. As I listen to Taylor Swift's new album, I'm overcome with dull wonder, wonder like, "Where are all the other turbines? Doesn't he get lonely?" and "I bet she could write a song about a wind turbine and it would top the charts." The sky is a crystalline blue with a thin blanket of clouds that probably does nothing to warm the Sky Giant's toes. Out here, there is nothing but your thoughts... and this wind turbine, slowly turning like the wheel of time for the rest of America while it stays stagnent out here, all that is natural destroyed by our ancestors, digested by the masses and abandoned. On our list of places to visit. Sign out front says for all visitors to check in at the office. Office open but no one around so we parked and took photos from the road. Not sure this turbine is operational. Since we crossed into Texas we've seen oil fields, several solar fields and several wind turbine farms. I am interesting in knowing the level of energy the solar fields and turbine farms are generating and how wide spread that energy is used.

Perfect spot for an early morning picnic, would highly recommend 🤩
