Ampko Heating Air Conditioning

Ampko Heating and Air are used by Fidelity National Home Warranty, and they’re both terrible. Insurance companies are notorious for not covering what they should and contract with companies like Ampko that do work on behalf of the insurance company, not the people using their services. Daniel came out a week ago and never followed up or returned any of my repeated phone calls. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY, and if you are forced to use them through your insurance company, be wary because you’re about to get screwed. I spoke to another AC company over the phone, and they said that Ampko screwed us in the writing of the estimated damages, knowing that it would absolve Fidelity from the claim and place me in a lose-lose situation.

I hate to write this but here we are. We used Ampko through our home warranty because our heater stopped working right before Christmas. Well we had Daniel come out a week later which was ok because it’s winter I knew it would take a while well my heater starts working again but still had some issues with it. He came “figured out “ the issue and “resolved “ it so we thought. The next day it stopped working again, before Daniel left he told me to call him if anything else happens and he would work off the same ticket. Well I called him straight to voice mail, I know it’s the holidays and I didn’t except him to call me back right away so I gave him a week, Christmas came and went so I called the company it self and left a message again knowing they might be closed or busy for the holidays.

This is a dangerous company - DO NOT USE I am an 86 year old woman living in Walnut Creek in August. My a/c broke down. I contacted Home Guard whom I have a policy with. Ampko contacted my son who arranged for a service call. Daniel, the rep spoke with my son and told him he would call after the service. Daniel was in my home for less than three minutes. He did not look in the attic (where the problem ended up being), he did not look at my compressor. He did glance at the thermostat which had the error on it which precipitated my call, but learned nothing more than I had told him over the phone. Daniel then left. He did not contact my son, and ye did not repair the issue. He has left an elderly woman without a/c during the hottest period of the year. If he had called my son as he pro

Daniel went to evaluate our AC unit thru home warranty. He's very knowledgeable, professional. He even came 1 day early than schedule time. In addition, he submit his findings to home warranty same day. The next day I received a call from him to update me that home warranty will be calling today. 30 mins later, home warranty called. This gentleman is very efficient, precise. Thank you Daniel.
