We worked with Alfred to restore several of our century home’s interior and exterior doors and were so pleased with the results. Alfred was truly able to bring these doors back to their former glory — removing decades of paint layers, making hardware functional again, and addressing some issues we were having with the way they were hanging. When we were researching contractor options, we knew we really wanted someone who had deep knowledge around working with older homes. Alfred not only brought that knowledge, but a real passion, too — and we learned so much along the way. Alfred was clear on timelines and provided great updates from his studio where he worked on the doors (including some fun progress pics!). We would definitely work with him again.

After working with many contractors over the years with mixed results, Alfred was recommended by a friend and exceeded our expectations. He is highly knowledgeable, thoughtful, creative, and solution oriented. Patiently answering our endless questions, he presented us with options that took into account practical needs, aesthetics, and budget. The work was completed quicker than expected, on budget, and the finished product is beautiful. On top of being an incredible craftsman, he is also extremely kind, trustworthy, and honest. We look forward to working with him again and have already referred him to our friends.

Alfred and his team did a beautiful job remodeling our two main full bathrooms for us. Alfred was always very easy to get in touch with and communicated with us clearly every step of the way. His work is meticulous, especially in terms of historic home renovations and getting the details correct. As little issues came up along the way, Alfred was quick to propose solutions and resolve them. He and his whole team were very respectful, easy to communicate with, and were neat and tidy (cleaned up at the end of each day, etc) so that while we lived and homeschooled in our home during the renovations, it was as smooth and stress-free as possible. Highly recommend!
