Appliance Doctor

We had used Appliance Doctor years ago with good results. Called them in early December to fix GE ceramic cooktop, and he took $330 to order part, and we haven't been able to contact him since, and it is now last of April. Doesn't deserve even one star rating.

TLDR: Wife is pregnant and due any day and we need the microwave working (everyone involved knows this). These people have missed 4 appointments and would never call me back. After a month, my microwave is still not working. First of all I have American Home Shield, home warranty, and when I had a problem with my microwave I gave them a call. They set me up with Appliance Doctors after another company had an issue getting out. Appliance Doctor never called me to set up an appointment within 24 like they are contract states that they are required. I called and set up an appointment on Thursday from 3-6 pm. At 6 pm on Thursday I called Appliance Doctor only to hear that they had me scheduled for Friday from 3-6 pm. On Friday I had to call Appliance Doctor at 5:30 pm to check to see

Eric made an appt with me for the next day after I called, with a 3 hr window. He never came nor cancelled the appt. and when I called him to try and find out what was happening, or reschedule, I got no answer and the voice mail mailbox was full. I was able to send a message to him (via the Home Advisor website) but never got a reply from him that way either. I would have understood a need to change our appt. time and reschedule, but I don't understand not showing up nor calling to reschedule with me. Don't use this business.

Scammer or Dishonest Person, you decide. My vote is a scammer of seniors. Please beware. After being infected with COVID-19 as a senior citizen this summer and spending 20 days in ICU, I was happy to survive the virus and excited about the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. WOW.... that is all I can say. Eric is great at letting you know what the problem is & taking a 50% deposit to order the part but that is where it ends...Came out July 9th 2019 to diagnose my dryer & now 2 1/2 months later I'm still getting excuses or not returning my calls. Blames his crew for not getting the job done. Even drove to his office to speak to him...guess what..."There IS NO Office"" according to Eric he is working out of his house. I'm going to call my credit card company to see if there is anything they can do but this might just be an expensive lesson to research a company 1st.
