I have used them twice. BOTH times, the main driver for their company “got lost”, which ads more time to the job, which means more $$ for them. He purposely did it bc he was following behind me and I was waiting for 45 min at my new place for him to arrive and unload. Not only that, the first time I used them in 2020, I paid NO deposit fee. The second time, they quoted me the $300 which I was prepared to pay. At the end - not only were they trying to charge me for the ADDED time bc the driver “got lost”, but the owner through in another $100 deposit?! WHY did I not pay that at the getco?? Why was it never mentioned to me?? I literally didn’t have the money to pay for it and it put me in hardship. Tried them twice - will NEVER use them again.

Arizona’s Worst Movers. We scheduled these movers via a Groupon deal price that they allowed us to use on a Friday. We booked them for four hours from 8-12. They called the day prior confirming the move and being there at 8am and stated they would call when they were 30 minutes away. It was 7:55 day of the move and I hadn’t heard anything. I called them and the guy told me that they couldn’t get movers to us now from sometime between 12-3. I complained as we were up early ready for the move and I was the one that had to call them. He said he would give me $20/hour off the hourly rate IF we were to go over 4 hours. Then only offered a $40 discount when I continued to complain. I prepaid for two hours. My previous movers no showed and I was in a bind. James and Nate showed up to my apartment and I showed them what needed to be move from my second floor apartment to the 1st floor apartment right below it. After 2 hours they I formed me thay due to my sleep number bed being dirty and smelled( which it did not) it was dusty, had water stains and was still made. They wouldn't be carrying it downstairs i could find someone else or ask a neighbor to move it. I explained I paid for them to move the bed and I was disabled and wouldn't be able to move it. They refused to move it and kept asking foe the payment code. I dodnt want to gove it to them as they didnt finish they job they were paid to do. Absolute terrible experience. Scheduled movers for my move. They called to confirm the day before that they would be there at 8 AM. The day of the move they don’t show up, don’t call. We call them and they deny confirming with us and say they didn’t get their move finished the day before that they’d be arriving now between 12-3. When pushing back that they told us they’d be here at 8, that they should have called us to let us know of the change and that they’d should be giving us a discount-they offered a measly $40. When pushing back that this is terrible customer service they never even notified us of the change they canceled us right then and there. Day of the move canceled on us!! EVERYONE USE ACADEMY MOVERS THEY DO A BETTER JOB AND ARE CHEAPER!!!

Watch out! Moving is NOT done with care. In my case doors, flooring, walls, and other items were damaged due to just rushing and not looking where they were going. Movers do not seem to have basic experience or training and seemed to be day labor men. Company was unable to make original move in day and was pushed back to following day. No courtesy call was even made after being over and hour past 2 hour arrival window. This company does not have insurance and does not seem to even care to fix damages that are 3 times more expensive than the cost of using there services.
