Auburn Highway Department

Hi, I live in Auburn. Today I was jogging down the street with my daughter in her stroller and my doggie on leash. We heard a rustling in the brush and a poor little blue jay bird emerged, obviously injured and unable to fly. I wasn't sure who to call or what to do, but was sure I didn't want to leave the poor little bird on the side of the road. A few moments later a young lady driving a public works vehicle was approaching. I flagged her down hoping she could help. She was absolutely wonderful. With gloves and a towel she was able to catch the blue jay. She placed him in a carrier to bring him to a vet. I'm very thankful that she was there at that moment and was so helpful. She saved the little blue jay and came to the rescue when I wasn't sure what to do! I didn't catch her name, but I
