Augusta Lawn Care of Harrisonburg

This company is all about speed. Get in...wrap it up...get on to the next job, send a bill. They use large zero turns, driven at recklessly high speed. Their work damaged my landscape features and lawn. My experience is their technician using heavy equipment driven the same route over and over, driven too fast compacted soil and left wheel ruts in my lawn. I watched one tech literally drive his zero turn into a young cherry tree leaving a trunk wound. Fencing was crashed into more than a couple times causing damage. The owner's handling of the damage was an insult. When I quit using them I had to have plug aeration done to try to recover soil compaction damage and overseeding done. I just cannot recommend this business.

Augusta lawn care has always done a great job with my yard, I was surprised when the price went from $97,50 to $120.00. My husband and I live on social security so the increase made us purchase a push mower to cut our yard ourselves. We take turns cutting and since we’re both 70 yrs old it takes 2-3 days to get it cut. My husband hurt his back so I’m having to call on Augusta to cut my yard one last time for the season. I do wish there was a senior discount though. But, I do recommend them for sure.

Hunter came to cut our grass today, as scheduled. He did a superb job—we've never had a hired crew do such detailed work, with the level of attention that we, the owners, give to our property. He was courteous and professional, too. We're had very mixed experiences with lawn care services, and we called on Augusta on the recommendation of a friend… We are very happy we did. Keep up the good work!

We booked Augusta Lawn Care to perform weeding, bush trimming and mulching in our garden beds. After they sent the estimate, I had someone come out and walk the property with me to ensure they had included everything in their estimate, because it was considerably lower than other estimates we received. After the service was completed, I realize that the estimate is written just vaguely enough (even with the walk through with me where I thought we had come to an understanding of what we were looking for) that they can get away with doing the bare minimum and don't seem to take pride in their work. They removed two large weeds and "sprayed" the rest, but then just dumped all of the mulch on top of the weeds still in the garden beds. If the weeds never reappear I will happily change my rating

Kevin started trimming at my mom's property on July 11. The property has several difficult areas to manage. Kevin did a very nice job. He explained that the most challenging area may take several visits to get under control, which is a good assessment. We appreciate his work and his honesty.
