I made an appointment and told him ahead of time that I had my own key and had matched the part number to my existing key. He said that was fine. He spent about 45 minutes attempting to program it. When that didn’t work, he tried programming one of his own keys, which triggered a security warning light on my dashboard. I left without a second working key and with a security light illuminated. A week later and on his advise. I now have to go to the dealership and spend over $400 to have the system reset and properly programmed. He did not ask for payment when I left and said he would look for a solution.
