Ballston Public Parking Garage

So i don't usually leave reviews for parking garages but this one i had to. I am not sure why they have it set up the way they do but it is a self service type style of parking with a qr code that you scan to pay. However, when you try to pay or use the qr code the website they use does not work. No matter how many times you try to pay it does not allow you to. Reading through the other reviews I can see this is set up so they can charge customers with non-payment violation even when the payment though the payment system does not work. The number for customer service line also does not work. I am not sure why you even have to pay for a mall parking in virginia when other malls do not make you pay to enter them? Anyway please be careful and park here at your own risk. The $1 price tag looks

This garage is horrible. Prepaid for my parking on the website using the QR code posted in front of my car, entered my information and came back a couple hours later to a $10 citation claiming I didn’t pay. I had to then dispute the citation using a screenshot of my online receipt once my time was up. Received two emails, one automated saying my citation was voided and the other was from the Facility Manager nitpicking to deflect responsibility for their flawed system saying they voided my citation as a one-time courtesy to me. Avoid at all costs.

Seems like you can pre-pay at a kiosk, which I never looked for or you pre-pay by a smartphone for parking. I opted to pay by smartphone for convenience. The garage is a little confusing when you enter. There's no standard gate where you push a button and get a ticket at least on the weekdays I've gone. You wouldn't know how to pay for parking until you actually park somewhere and read signs saying to pay by scanning a barcode that's attached to the many columns or walls throughout the garage. It's also a bit confusing to navigate, but just pay attention to the signs on where it tells you to "park" or "exit" and also pay attention to arrows for directions. Don't park in the "Reserved" spots, which could be a whole row of parking spots you wouldn't know until you see two signs on either end

This garage is fine if you plan to park there monthly or daily ONLY. If any situation should arise where you need to mix the situation then park somewhere else. It's not worth the hassle; their customer service numbers aren't monitored, the representatives in the garage have no ability to help, and the representatives that handle email gave me incorrect information twice.

Absolutely the WORST parking garage ever. Total scam operation. I was there for less than 30 minutes — should’ve been $1. I get hit with a $10 ticket. make zero sense, nobody answers. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. Avoid this dump at all costs.
