Barlow Service Experts

Harry Biswell was my tech today. I was having my continued maintenance plan performed and Harry did an exceptional job. Both techs were both professional and informative. Harry was nice enough to take the time to go over both my previous appointments and today’s appointment so I could see the real time condition and how my appliances are aging. Once again Barlow has been great to work with but I especially appreciated Harry’s attention to detail and how easy he made it to understand what’s happening with our systems. Very Pleased!

They don’t even deserve 1 star!!!!!!! Don’t even let them in your house! They told me several year ago that I needed a new furnace and A/C. A second opinion revealed we needed nothing. Last week they did the same thing to my single elderly mom. Told her she needed a new furnace ASAP because me hers was going to break and she would freeze! They quoted her $7,919 (thag was a good deal because she has been paying them to do “service”). Thankfully I found out, got a second opinion from a pro who did a thorough inspection. Which revealed she needs NOTHING. Her furnace is only 10 years old. They are out there taking advantage of people and way over charging. Does the Barlow company have a conscience? A couple of years ago, they talked my elderly mother into an UNNECESSARY new air filtration system on her existing 7 year old furnace. This new system uses an expensive filter that also requires Barlow technicians to come change the filter for the NOT-low price of an annual membership plus the cost of the ridiculous filter. Now the filters are hard to get and when they recently came for a regular service call, the Barlow tech found some rust in the bottom of her now 10-year old furnace. Then they told that her furnace was going to break at any moment and she needed a new $8,000 furnace. My mom is the sweetest person alive, lives alone, and in her words Barlow “double teamed” her. I want to make it clear that I'm writing a positive review even though I may not go with Barlow. The reason I'm writing a positive review is because Taylor and Danielle were very knowledgeable and thorough. The reports they write up and send you make you feel like you actually got something out of the dispatch fee, even if you don't choose their services. That said, the only reason I may not choose them is because I want to get a second opinion on pricing for a new system. Other than that, they did everything right - from putting booties on their shoes before coming in my house, to explaining everything in detail and showing me pictures from the video feed. Daniel and Gio, Were awesome. Neat and tidy. Great clean install. Left inside of house super clean, just like they were never here. Explained everything about the outside A/C unit and the inside Furnace. Spent extra time teaching us how the new thermostat works. Excellent Service!!! Final after living here 30 years I have a system that works!!
