We hired Bear Down Builders to build a casita on our property. Anthony and his crew were professional and experienced. We were given a bid and that’s what we paid to the penny. The high quality of craftsmanship shines throughout our casita. Anthony was responsive from start to finish and we are so happy with it! Bear Down Builders was the firm we hired to put an addition onto the front of our house, beginning in May of this year. Anthony was the first contractor to come out for an estimate, and right away he “got” what we were trying to do here. The addition included a kiva (bee hive) fireplace in the extended living room, an extension of the existing carport, and a fully covered front porch done in Territorial style. Take a look at the Before and After pictures, and you'll see how Ho-Hum became Stunning in 2 short months, thanks to Anthony and his crew. And they were a lot of fun to have around. We hired Bear Down Builders to replace our aging, weathered wooden deck. The deck runs the full length of our house and is multi-level. We replaced the wooden decking with composite. The result was beautiful beyond our highest expectations. Anthony Vidal and his crew are top-drawer workmen. We have hired numerous contractors over the years and I know a highly skilled crew with good morale when I see one. We asked six contractors to visit and five of them submitted bids. Bear Down Builders recently completed a total remodel for us on our 1924 Blenman-Elm home. It not only needed to be completely updated with all new plumbing, electrical, HVAC, insulation etc. but we also added 2 full baths and a new kitchen and garage. The result was a seamless blend of the old home with the new addition and which managed to retain the charm of the original design. Anthony was great to work with, easy to communicate with, and very responsive. He was mindful of our budget and several times offered suggestions or alternatives on how we could save money on the project or improve the design without adding much extra cost. 6 stars (out of 5)...to Anthony and his crew on the job they just finished at my home. They structurally upgraded my second story deck in preparation for construction of a new room on the deck. I can park a cement truck on that deck now. Anthony kept me in the loop during the entire project and had many helpful suggestions. Super professional and friendly. Came out on short notice and bid the job when no others would. Worked through the holidays. Can’t thank them enough! Would hire them again in an instant.
