Received an annual service email for our vacation place from these folks, and since we noticed our generator wasn't cycling on for test every week, we had them come out. We didn't need to be there they said. They put in a new battery and charger, changed the oil, filters, spark plugs, cleaned slip rings, and supposedly checked the exercise time. We paid the $573 and moved along. We lost power this weekend and it didn't kick on. So we call and ask what's going on. Apparently, their internal notes are for their techs only, and they don't share it with the customer on the invoice. The tech that came out noted he thinks there is an issue with the transformer that powers the battery, or that the generator is getting old and could use replacement, but never bothered to tell us. They came out in the most recent storm (December 2023) to fix my non-functioning standby generator. They initially couldn't get to us, due to down lines and fallen trees, but Sean didn't give up on us and he got it cranking again. Super grateful, as my heat and septic pump are connected to the generator. Thanks, Ben King & Sons!

Strongly recommend using anyone else. Would not return calls or emails regarding deposit return after a home sale fell through, which was refundable and confirmed as such prior to giving the deposit. GENERAC company helped get some money back, but BK&S kept $1000 (~1 week of pay for me) of the $2500 deposit. They literally only provided an estimate based on the photos I emailed them, never even had to leave the office. After GENERAC contacted him on buyer behalf, I did get this belligerent email response: Anna I had offered you what I can do as usually there are no refunds. I had to pay interest on your unit as the deposit doesn’t even cover the cost of the generator. Just had Sean out to do a warranty service on our General Synergy 20Kw generator way down in Port Clyde. Sean provided great professional service and Tim and Becky in the office have been very responsive and great to deal with. Very nice company to work with. Highly recommend them.

These guys are AWESOME. I worked in customer service, so I can be that icky customer nobody wants when providing services. We needed a somewhat big job done - a 3-br home stand by generator installed. From start to finish, they have met and surpassed my expectations. The quote process was easy (and remote, which suited my schedule), they were very responsive to any of my questions - be that billing or technical nuances. They set the date, showed up on time, and then the magic happened. Maneuvering the 300 lbs of a beast generator and even a heavier slab of reinforced concrete to the back of our house was no easy feat. I watched them artfully execute it (~50ft!) through doors, unleveled ground and hardened snow. With no glitches, stress or even a swear (I'd have cussed out the world by now!
