Ben Muffett Forestry

We hired Ben to help us remove 6 tree stumps. 3 just regular trees, but the other 3 were enormous Douglas firs that had rotted and had to be removed. Ben was honest, fair and did an amazing job with cleaning up after he was done. You can’t even tell there used to be 3 gigantic stumps there. HIGHLY recommend.

We were introduced to Ben from the folks who did our tree pruning, Redmans Yard Maintenance and Tree Service. Ben dropped by in advance so we could do a walk-through of our needs. Part of our job was split between us and our neighbor (the cedar was growing through the chain-link fence). He let us know in advance what day he’d be here and gave me a one-hour window for that day. He was here yesterday to do the work. Ben was mindful about laying down plywood to protect the lawn and barriers as protectors when near the house or gas meter. It was kind of cool watching he and the machine at work. Ben was friendly, professional, and the finished result is fantastic. He made sure the jobsite was cleaned up and the areas he worked were tidied up nicely. By the way, he did work with our neighbor

Excellent communication via text leading up to the stump grinding day. Ben gave me a fair and reasonable bid. After the Portland January ice storms, one of our 80 y/o silver maples came crashing down. Ben grinded the stump down to bark chip filling it in the same place. It’s like the tree was never there. Highly recommend!

Ben did an outstanding job! We had 17ish stumps that we needed removed and he was able to get them all done, in a timely manner and with GREAT communication at a very reasonable price! Definitely will be keeping his number for future stump needs!

Working with Ben was a great experience! After inquiring about a bid on Facebook, Ben came out the next morning and provided a bid for the stump I wanted removed as well as recommendations for making the space more usable.
