After searching for months for the right person to build my patio, I’m glad I went with Better Home & Yard. I live in a historic 1790s stone home, and Michael was the first person who took the time to really understand my vision for a patio that would be functional yet blend into the existing setting. I knew the style of what I wanted, but the details Michael added really made this project amazing. We decided on using boulders from my property to border a series of beds that surround a natural bluestone patio. The plants in the beds are coordinated with the other trees and plants on my property. The bluestone was hand chiseled and has the natural, old world look I was looking for. I needed some rock excavation work done in front of my house to create more usable and safe parking and Michael did an amazing job. Michael of Better Home & Yard is a top-notch contractor. He’s done numerous projects around my property over the last several years: fully replaced a retaining wall and steps, revamped landscaping in the front of my house, improved drainage in my backyard, and demolished/rebuilt a patio using pavers. All of the work has come out looking great and has improved the livability and curb appeal of the property.
