Nor' easter, Sunday, February 22, 2026. 7 pm -BAM! What was that noise? We conducted a walk-through of the house. Nothing obvious. What could have caused such a loud noise? Fast forward to 10 pm, time to plow the driveway. Why won't the garage door go up! Why is there slack in the cables on the garage door? Why has the spring separated into two pieces? Uuuuuggghhhh. Say it isn't so, the garage door spring broke/exploded. The timing could not have been worse. Up to 2 feet of snow is forecasted, and we will need continuous access to the garage, as the snowplow is kept there. Disconnect the locking mechanism and manually work the door for the time being. Bill Reynolds Garage doors and their tecnicians have been terrific. I've used their repair services ove the past 2 years several times and they are good at repairing problems. I meant to write this review several months ago to also highlight their accountability. After more thanb 6 months of a repair I called them back with the same problem and guess what - they fixed it at no charge and even came back a week later to make an adjustment and again no charge. Also, a shgout out to their technicians who were very pleasant and helpful in helpinbg me reset my door opener. Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap! Clap!
