Birmingham Hardwood Flooring

Cort and his team did a wonderful job sanding down our red oak floors to a lighter finish (no stain, water based finish). They were very diligent and finished the job in 4 days! I would recommend them for anyone looking to refinish their floors.

Birmingham Hardwood Flooring replaced old carpet in our den with red oak hardwood and matched it perfectly with the flooring in the adjacent entryway and dining room. The result is beautiful as shown in the photos taken before the 3rd coat of varnish was fully dry (thus the shine). The installation of the new floor is flawless and their attention to trim details is outstanding. By hanging sheets over bookcases and covering entryways into other rooms, the dust from sanding did not spread to the rest of the house. Our floors were originally installed 20-25 years ago by Birmingham and have been beautiful from day one. Years of wear and tear with kids and big dogs had taken a toll, we contacted Birmingham to refinish and update our floors and are so thankful we did! Years ago, in my previous home, I had Ted Birmingham refinish a few floors. I was very satisfied with the work he did. When it came time to replace the floors in my current house I called Birmingham again…as well as other flooring companies. I decided to go again with Birmingham; however, this time, it wasn’t Ted who came, it was his son, Cort … so I wondered if he would be as good (?). So glad I went with them. As an older woman, at no time did I feel that were attempting to take advantage of me. They did a terrific job. They were quick, very clean, very professional, and promptly resolved a concern I had. My floors look fantastic! The son is as good, if not better—just cuter! 😉
