We had a great experience with Ben/Black and Tan. The work involved removal of an old undersized septic system, and installation of a new, quite large mound system—and a pump to that mound. We had functional needs, and aesthetic concerns, and we couldn’t be more pleased with how both turned out. Most importantly, the system has worked well with no issues. Also, the way that Ben sculpted the mound in relation to the terrain means that it blends in well. Most people don’t know where our leach field is when they come. Finally, Ben was communicative, knowledgeable, and reliable (both on quality of work and showing up to do the work as designed).

He was excellent, came on time, was very responsible, was extremely responsive and kept us abreast of the work being done. The next time that Ben did work for our family, he really outdid himself. After the flood of 2023 the front and back of our home was devastated. Ben immediately brought in equipment to begin the rehab. He did expansive yard work, culvert work , creek work and even helped advocate for us with the town. His work was outstanding, and he used his talent to bring us other critical skilled workers when necessary- his management of the project was exceptional. Clearly, we recommend him very highly for any related project you may have.

Black and Tan saved us! Literally. After the floods they rebuilt our shoreline and fortified our brook and property line and reconstituted both ours and our neighbors house. They also upgraded our sceptic system. Ben and his team are simply the best. We can’t say enough god things about them.
