Fencing was the first sport where I felt that I truly belonged . Blackstone Valley Fencing Academy made all the difference for me. 8 years later and the club is still one of my favorite places to be. Coach Anne and Coach Michael take the time to get to know each fencer help them to achieve and surpass their individual goals. They have fostered a supportive, competitive atmosphere that continues to welcome fencers from all weapons and all skill levels. Whether you are looking to try a new sport, or fence new people, BVFA is the place to be.

It is one of the best fencing clubs around. Michael and Anne are excellent coaches, very talented and love what they do. It is very rare to come across someone that has as much passion as them. I have fenced there and in different places around the world, hands down the best place to fence!

There aren't many fencing clubs in Rhode Island, but BVFA is undoubtedly the best choice there is. The club is easy to get to, the space is beautiful, and classes are affordable (especially compared to other area clubs). Most importantly, however, Anne and Michael are patient, supportive, and knowledgeable coaches. Whether you're new to fencing or have been involved in the sport for years, they can help you reach your goals, whatever they may be. BVFA is also a great place for both the recreational and competitive fencer. If you're looking to try something new and have an interest in fencing, BVFA is an excellent place to start.

There are few more dedicated coaches on the planet than Michael and Anne Olson. They will provide every level of fencer with endless support for whatever goals they are striving to achieve. Whether you are looking to extend your fencing career or just starting out, BVFA is the best choice.

I've been going to BVFA for the last 4 years. The head coaches, Mike and Anne Olson, are awesome coaches and very helpful whether you just want to learn to fence for recreation or want to get better competitively. Michael and Anne are also coaches at Bishop Feehan High School in Attleboro, MA and have sent a wide variety of pupils to various Colleges and Universities, many of whom continue to fence on the college circuit in Div 1 schools like Wellesley, Sacred Heart, and St. John's. I personally receive scholarship at Sacred Heart University. There are fencers of all ages and they are one of the cheaper fencing clubs in the area and everyone is friendly.
