Blue Haven Pools & Spas

We had a very good experience with Blue Haven Pools having installed our pool about 3 years ago. In spite of many of the material and subcontractor shortages that were going on during Covid, our project largely ran on-time. We're now completing our 2nd full season with the pool and glad we did it. The team at Blue Haven is responsive and easy to work with. The reality of any construction project is that not everything is going to run 100% according to schedule, but Blue Haven was always good about communicating and keeping us in the loop. I'd recommend them again and have recommended them to others.

This is our first time (and hopefully last) building a pool. We researched many companies, visited a few other owners pools, etc… before deciding to go with blue haven. Ultimately what made up our mind is we wanted to be able to completely customize the design, add features, and Blue Haven is a nationwide company (with a local office) that warranties the actual structure against leaks for “life”. 2 reasons this review is getting a 4 - during the build process we had some communication problems and timeline changes that were unfortunate. We are very happy with our pool that Blue Haven helped design and build. We needed a gunite type pool for our backyard due to the slope of the yard. They were competitively priced with other pool companies we interviewed. We got a total of 3 bids. We liked the fact that Blue Haven was a national pool company that has a lifetime structural warranty. Our pool was a custom design that needed to integrate an existing patio with fire pit. John was not a pushy salesman and worked with us to get the design we wanted. Another reason we liked Blue Haven was the disinfection system which included chlorine tablets, ozone generation, and UV light. UPDATE 1: I am not going to change the 1-Star Rating as I continue to have major concerns about the construction of the pool and the poor service of the entire team at this particular Blue Haven Pools. What I will say is that they are under new ownership and management, Thank God! The new team is doing a great job attempting to get control of a poorly managed business and what I am sure is a great many disappointed customers. This poor review is long overdue and prompted by having just completed a major overhaul to a Blue Haven Pool we had built 7/8 years ago- it began failing in year 2 and when the owner came out, he explained they knew these were known issues. I naturally asked if it would be covered under warranty then and he almost chuckled when he said 'it would not be covered under warranty, they just don't install like that now'. The sundeck/entry step continued to completely chip up, pool plaster continued to fail, we had several cracks (2 that proved to leak when we had them pressure tested) and the pool discolored throughout. The coping stones outlining the pool sounded hollow under them- as did the waterline tiles, indicating they weren't adhered well and began popping loose. A pool that should'v
