Borough Hall Municipal Parking Garage

Excellent parking location. Modern. Safe. Spacious. I don’t know why more people don’t know about this place. If you are going to Queens court system this the place to park.

Well run, clean, with functioning L2 chargers. The parking fees is an annoyance but reasonable for NYC. This garage is a success story for the city. We need more of this to allow people who live in buildings without EV charging to invest in one.

1st. Can't Stand New York City. 2ndly GPS Directions Sucked. 3rdly Very Low Clearance to get my Truck in. Stock Ram1500. 4th to park for 30 minutes I thought was $15.00. Until I went to get my Truck and they Charged $35.00. Small Print on the Bottom Says $20 EXTRA for a "OVERSIZED VEHICLE". I Don't See How? If it takes a Standard Parking Spot. So $35.00 for Parking for 30 minutes. Literally over a $1.00 a Minute. Ridiculous. Another Reason to Hate. New York City. I AVOID it EVERY CHANCE POSSIBLE. DON'T KNOW HOW PEOPLE LIVE THERE. Any part of NYC. SUCKS. EXCEPT for Maybe the BRONX ZOO. Any Way. At least when I Got my Truck Out it Wasn't Damaged. I'm at Least THANKFUL for That.

This garage is notoriously under utilized, yet they do not have an agreement with employees working in the area for reduced rates. Criminal Court, District Attorney and other offices in the area, as well as the lawyers would love to be offered a reduced rate to park. SHAME on Municipal Parking system. Get in touch with the clerks, Court Officer and other unions and negotiate a discount price. Empty spaces, do not make money.

Nice enough but I think someone told me the charging places are quite often not working, we need a level 2 charger of which they have a few and we had to move to a different charger the very first time due to malfunction. Next, you try to do your bit by investing in EV/Hybrid but then there is no where to charge the car without getting hit over the head for parking… what should cost $4-5 or less, costs up to $20. Not much of an incentive, in the end there are no savings and it is inconvenient when one had to use public parking. Why can’t the city give us a break? we’re just there to “charge” not park, trying to help the environment but it’s not helping when the price is so unreasonable.
