BrickHaven Brick Repair & Tuckpointing

Had BrickHaven fix a sagging section of mortar on our front stoop and do some brick patching along the side walkway. They were easy to get ahold of and the quote was straightforward. the team showed up on time, matched the mortar color better than I expected, and cleaned up the loose grit before they left. Steps look solid again and the joints are nice and even.

After the last couple storms, we started seeing white residue on the brick and a few mortar joints by the back door were literally falling out. I was worried water was getting into the wall and freezing would make it worse. BrickHaven came out to our place in River Grove, checked the soft joints, and explained what needed full tuckpointing versus small spot repairs. The crew cut out the failing mortar, repointed it cleanly, and replaced two cracked bricks near the sill. They kept the area tidy, protected the plants, and didn’t leave dust all over the patio. The brick looks uniform again, and the damp smell in that corner is gone. Really glad we didn’t wait on it.

Their project timeline was spot-on, and the foreman communicated with me daily. They transformed my anxiety about the project into complete confidence.

Our brick repointing is so crisp it looks like someone outlined our whole house with a fine tip pen. It's deeply satisfying to look at.
